Educational advancement and growth of professional, intelligent individuals are of great significance for Azerbaijan as a country, which has been experiencing economic development and focusing on further development of market economic relations. In this regard, Azercell Telekom LLC provides support to ensure the development of academic capacity in Azerbaijan through implementation of various initiatives of social importance. Since its establishment, Azercell has conducted a number of successful projects with this purpose and continues to follow the same tradition. Thus, Azercell’s Barama Innovation Center, with the co-organization of Caspian Engineering Society, held an event named “CES Winter Camp” on February 6. Various seminars and workshops were conducted for 40 students with engineering discipline from Qafqaz University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Khazar University and Middle East Technical University (OTDU – METU). The workshops included different lectures and discussions on “Job opportunities in IT”, “IOS operating system” and “Technological Entrepreneurship”. Azercell HR Department officer gave wide information to the students on job opportunities in the company. The participants also got more familiar with the activities of and the projects initiated by Barama Innovation Center. “CES Winter Camp” is priparily aimed to inform students studying engineering disciplines about job opportunities in IT field.
Azercelll has initiated a number of innovative projects in Azerbaijan in the frames of Barama Innovation Center. Thanks to Worldwide Startup Competition, Baku TechTalks”, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program and others, talented young individuals got opportunities to realize their ideas, introduce them in international arena and receive financial support.
