The initiative aims to help girls develop entrepreneurial and startup skills.
Winners of Azercell’s social projects competition “Empowering lives: women’s support program 2025” continue working on their initiatives. One of these projects is “StartHer,” which has completed the participant selection stage and moved to the next phase.
The project is implemented in Guba and focuses on building entrepreneurial thinking among girls, as well as giving them practical skills to start and grow their own startup ideas.
As part of the program, 20 participants will take part in 8 training sessions covering key topics such as the basics of entrepreneurship, developing business ideas, financial literacy, teamwork, and presentation skills. During the project, participants will work in teams, apply what they learn in practice, and develop their own ideas.
The initiative will conclude with a hackathon in May this year. At the final stage, participants will present their projects to an expert jury, and the best teams will receive awards.
The project is implemented by the Public Association for Support of Socio-Economic Development.
It should be noted that Azercell’s social projects competition has been running for three years and aims to support women’s economic participation and sustainable development. Applications for the 2026 competition will be announced in August this year.
