6 start-up authors selected by the group of international jury in the frames of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship program realized jointly by Azercell’s Barama Innovation Center and US Civil Research and Development Foundation travelled to San-Francisco, Boston and Washington cities of the US. These delegates participated at two international conferences as well as met with the representatives of Microsoft, Dell, Ericsson and other leading world brands. Moreover, they have also visited Google’s HQ in San-Francisco.
After San-Francisco these young people from Azerbaijan also got a chance to present their projects during another technological conferences in Boston. Investors and venture funds from all over the world reviewed the projects created in Azerbaijan with a great interest.
On the last day of the trip start-up authors joined several training courses in Washington, D.C.
So, with the support of Azercell Telecom these young people can bring back and apply in Azerbaijan the knowledge gained during the program in the US.
We would like to inform that the teams to be selected to the final stage this December would present their more mature business ideas in front of the international jury. The winners will get 1 prize of $10,000, 1 prize of $7,500 and 1 prize of $5,000.
It should be noted that the winners of the program for young entrepreneurs became Dilara Rustamzade with “Tuning Fork” project, Rahman Mammadli with“NeWo” project, Anar Rustamov with “Smart Safe House” project, Matanat Mehrabova with “Solar Panels” project, Azer Aliyev with “Azikus” project and Amid Guliyev with “SocSet” project.
Azercell Telecom always opens opportunities for young people to realize their ideas. The main goal of Barama Innovation Center operating with the initiative of Azercell is to explore, develop and support youth with implementation of new ideas in ICT sector. Over 3000 young people joined different projects of Barama Innovation Center since its launch in 2009.
