Through 18 years of its operations, Azercell Telecom has alüays supported educational development and capacity building in Azerbaijan. The company is successfully continuing its activity in this regard. Thus, Azercell Telecom supports SABAH project conducted by the Ministry of Education which encompasses summer internship program for SABAH students at the company. 5 students joining the project will take internship at the Departments of Finance. Technologies, Marketing Communications, Strategic Partnership and Customer Channels. In addition, Azercell delivers various presentations for SABAH project students. The company has already conducted two presentations. Azercell representatives had a meeting at Azerbaijan Technical University. Azercell employee Kamran Aghayev, one of seven Azerbaijanis holding the highest ranked Oracle certificate, participated in the event as a lecturer. Kamran Aghayev shared his views on the topic “Road to Oracle Certified Master examination”. The lecture was aimed at creating interests of the students in Oracle system, help them determine their targets and assist in obtaining some useful knowledge. Besides, the event was aimed to facilitate exchange of Azerbaijani professionals in this sphere.
Kamran Aghayev obtained Oracle Master certificate last year. He has some 7-year experience in database management. Azercell employee Azad Huseynov delivered a lecture on Business Organization at Azerbaijan State University of Economics a few days ago. The lecture was perceived by the students with great interest. Azercell representatives gave students some advice to help them in future careers
SABAH project conducted by the Ministry of Education was developed to upgrade education quality at universities, establish a new and different environment, educate skilled and well prepared students and ensure capacity building to meet the increasing labor market requirements. The project presents students with a number of advantages including an additional stipend, free room and board, the chance to participate in exchange programs, the development of their intellectual and creative potential, work experience, and further training in innovative companies.
Azercell Telecom regularly conducts projects aimed for the development of the youth. Under the Student Bursary program of the company, capable youth studying at Azerbaijani universities get a great opportunity to receive special bursary from Azercell and take internship at various divisions of the company. Besides, many projects conducted by the company are related to education. Furthermore, Azercell cooperates with the leading universities and helps to improve their material and technical bases. With the initiative of the company, first 4G laboratory was established at Gafgaz University. Azercell will continue to focus on supporting education and the youth in the country.
