Azercell Telecom, the leader of Azerbaijan’s telecommunication sector is representing Azerbaijan at ITU Telecom World 2015 held by International Telecommunication Union in Budapest, capital city of Hungary under the auspices of the Communications and High Technologies Ministry.
Various information and telecommunication companies exhibit their services at the exhibition with pavilions of Azerbaijani and a number of local companies. Azercell distributed its M2M solutions and Barama Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at the exhibition. One of the innovations presented by Azercell at the World ICT expo was services created based on M2M (device-to-device) technology. This technology enables to collect and measure data in domestic and industrial sectors and forward it promptly to the relevant recipients using mobile network. M2M technology is well used in banking, transportation, security, oil and gas sector, utility services and other areas.
The projects carried out by Barama Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center was also presented to the visitors. It was stated that the center founded in 2009 aims to support local startup development in Azerbaijan and increasing IT literacy and entrepreneurship skills among the youth. Barama Center made a number of achievements during five years of its activity. The Center cooperates with a number of global companies, organizations and NGOs in development of innovative atmosphere. Sumaks project presented by Barama Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center caused great interest among the visitors. It provides a solution to manage daily household processes using a mobile device. For example, in case of gas or water leakage, short circuits, electric device shutdown or switching-on and etc. while the user is outdoors, he/she gets information about such event via SMS sent by the system.
The operations and services presented by Azercell based on high technologies drew the attention of not only the visitors, but also Hungarian public authorities and large private companies. Azercell continues to please its subscribers with innovative products and demonstrate the developments of the country out of the boundaries of Azerbaijan.
