Young entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan to gain international market access
February 15-17, Antalya has hosted the Start-up Turkey conference. Representatives of Azercell Telecom joined the conference, as the company provides a broad support to local innovations and new technologies start-ups.
The primary objective of the Start-up Turkey conference is to support emerging Internet business start-ups. The organizers facilitate building links between start-up projects’ owners with entrepreneurs and investors, as well as assist in exploring investment opportunities. This conference launched within e-Tokhum (e-Seed) project brings together people with new ideas on Internet, those willing to open a new business, looking for investments and management support as well as people ready to provide these opportunities.
The representative of Azercell’s Barama Innovation Center made a speech at the Start-up Turkey conference, where he talked about the company’s support to various IT related ideas of young entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan.
The event attracts business incubators, private entrepreneurs and investors from Turkey, as well as US, UK and Japan. Start-up owners presented their projects to the companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Nokia, Yandex as well as to the individual investors.
As a result, e-Tokhum (e-Seed) and Barama Innovation Center of Azercell established partnership relations that will open a chance for start-ups from Azerbaijan to join similar events in the coming years. Moreover, there are plans to engage US and Turkish experts in mentoring Azerbaijani start-ups and assist them in taking their products to the international markets.
