Azerbaijani leading mobile operator Azercell Telecom has introduced its next innovative offer for subscribers using roaming services. Thus, postpaid and prepaid subscribers will not be charged for the first 5 minutes of their calls to Call Center of the company. For each consecutive minute, the company will charge AZN 0.70 with the one-second interval. Azercell made some unbelievable discounts in its roaming services starting from the last year. Thus, the mobile operator recalled the deposit required for roaming service activation. As a result, all Azercell subscribers were able to easily activate the roaming line before they visit any country. In addition, Azercell made a discount on roaming tariffs in the last summer. Subscribers in roaming enjoyed favorable tariff for communication in Russia, Turkey, Georgia and Germany, paying only AZN 0.90 per minute for calls to all destinations. The subscribers visiting Georgia benefited with the tariff of AZN 0.47 per minute of calls.
The company substantially reduced tariffs for all international calls in January last year. Thus, starting from January 1, 2014, Azercell subscribers pay AZN 0.32 per minutes of call to any destination. It should be added that the company applies further 25% discounts for international calls from 00:00 a.m. till 08:00 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Subscribers are charged AZN 0.24 per minute of international calls in this interval.
