Additional information

With eSIM, there is no need for a plastic SIM card. eSIM is a new generation technology and is integrated into mobile devices. All services provided by SIM cards are also available with eSIM.

You can activate eSIM number by scanning the eSIM QR code outside the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It’s possible to learn it by dialing *#06#. If the mobile device supports eSIM technology, the EID (the serial number of the eSIM-enabled device) serial number should also be shown. Ensure that the mobile device's IMEI code is also registered. Check it out here.

You can order multiple numbers and install them on the same or different devices that support eSIM. The maximum number of eSIM cards per device varies depending on device type and manufacturer.

It’s possible to obtain a duplicate eSIM from:

1) azercellim.com website;

2) Azercell Customer Services or official dealer centers. An ID card is required for this.

The first Sim card replacement operation is free. The price of the second and subsequent duplicate operations will be AZN 3.54.

You can remove the eSIM number from the current mobile device and install it on another one.

The eSIM number can be obtained online from azercellim.com - via SIMA electronic signature or offline from Azercell Customer Services or official dealer centers.

The QR code can be scanned up to 5 times within 12 months. If the usage limit is exceeded within the specified period, eSIM can be purchased from Azercell Customer Service, official points of sale or dealers under the same conditions.

SİMA is a new generation digital signature based on cloud and face recognition technologies.

When eSIM is purchased online from azercellim.com, the Subscription Agreement is signed using the SIMA electronic signature. In this case, the QR code displayed on the screen of the device used for number purchase must be read by the SIMA application to sign the Subscription Agreement. In this case, a second device may be required to use the SIMA mobile application.

If the eSIM has been removed from the device, but you still have a QR code, scan it again and reinstall the profile. You can reload the profile 5 times using one QR code. At this time, the balance and phone number will be restored. However, if the QR code is lost, you can contact the nearest Azercell Customer Service center.

Online eSIM activation is available for everyone. For this, you can get eSIM online by simply following the link. There is no need to contact the Azercell customer service center to conclude a contract. All official procedures can be completed online at any time!

You can use all the mobile communication services with eSIM.

If your phone is lost or stolen, please contact the nearest Azercell Customer Service Center and get a duplicate of your number.

If you have problems with eSIM activation, ensure you follow the instructions during connection and have an active internet connection during installation.

Internet is only required to activate or deactivate eSIM. Internet is not necessary while using eSIM.

eSIM completely replaces the standard SIM and all the services activated in standard SIM remain the same.

It is possible to easily restore the eSIM number on the "Transfer your SIM number to e-SIM" page of the azercellim.com website.

All you need is the number to be restored and the one-time recovery code sent when the number is deduplicated.

Note:
The code is valid for 24 hours.

Subscribers may purchase eSIM Asan Imza numbers by booking them on our online sales platform azercellim.com (at the moment of booking, the full price of the number should be paid (fees, if any, will be added to the price)) and visiting or directly contacting any Azercell sales office.

There are 3 types of eSIM Asan Imza services offered:

  • For citizens (individuals)
  • For legal entities and individual entrepreneurs
  • For civil servants and representatives of local self-government bodies

The eSIM Asan Imza service provided to the subscriber at an Azercell sales office can only be used after contacting the ASAN Certification Service Center (ASXM) of the State Tax Service and obtaining an Asan Imza Certificate. Asan Imza service on the number will remain inactive unless ASXM is contacted.

The subscriber can set PIN 1 and PIN 2 codes online using a mobile phone or other wireless communication device.

PUK code is not available for eSIM Asan Imza. If PIN 1 and PIN 2 are misdialed, and the number is blocked, the subscriber has to contact Asan Imza Call Center - 1847 to unblock the number.

The Asan Imza number linked to a physical SIM card can be transferred to the eSIM Asan Imza service. To do this, fill out the required information in the ‘Transferring SIM Number to eSIM’ section at www.azercellim.com. The subscriber making the transfer should have an active Asan Imza number during the transfer. The transfer is performed by confirming an OTP code.

The transfer cost is AZN 3.54.
